If you only buy four things this month, let it be these coveted new arrivals.

The temperature is rising in the UAE, which gives us the perfect excuse to update our wardrobe from the latest Spring/Summer 2018 collections!

We’ve been doing what we enjoy best – searching through the new collections to handpick four of our favourite fashion finds especially for you. If, like us, you can’t resist these coveted new arrivals, hurry along to the shops now before they sell out.

If you’ve nailed that work project recently or been good in the gym, reward yourself with a special treat. Not that you ever need an excuse to hit the shopping malls in Dubai!

It’s time to break out the shorts again. This season, rethink the sartorial staple and team with oversized lightweight knits and platform-soled sneakers for a fresh take.

Our love of nude heels has reached new heights thanks to this pair of leg-elongating stilettos by Christian Louboutin. You will want to wear these with every single outfit in your closet. Ask soon-to-be royal Meghan Markle, who repeats her neutral-toned heels for a variety of events.

Leather bag by Massimo Dutti, available at Mall of the Emirates, Mall of Egypt and City Centres

While we do not usually play favourites with our accessories, this sky blue bucket bag has become our daily tote of choice in recent weeks. The chic bag also comes in a variety of other pastel shades, including lemon yellow and blush pink.

3 Dresses To Suit Your Mood

The best frocks to match your attitude.

Stylish and flattering dresses to match your attitude

Stylish and flattering dresses to match your attitude

Three stylish dresses to fit how you’re feeling – all available from the shopping malls in Dubai and across the Middle East.

The Confidence Booster

We all have those dreaded “fat days”. This is when you need a highly flattering wear-anywhere dress that you can quickly throw on and feel great wearing.

Enter Diane von Furstenberg’s classic wrap dress – an iconic silhouette that suits just about every body type under the sun. The style nips in at the smallest part of your waist fall at a flattering midi length skim the midriff and covers arms – an all-around winner in our eyes.

Opt for timeless black or take your pick from an array of new season rainbow hues and prints, such as this tropical floral version.

The Mood-Lifting Dress

Whatever the reason for a bad mood, be it a stressful day at the office or the kids acting out on the school run, we’re firm believers that throwing on a fabulous frock can help smooth away a strop.

This metallic sequin-splashed mini dress by Zara Dubai is a great mood lifter. We challenge you not to feel amazing while wearing this statement number. Now you need a place to wear it… we recommend somewhere with a dancefloor.

Sequin dress by Zara, available at Mall of the Emirates and City Centres

The I-Mean-Business LBD

An important day at work (or job interview) calls for an outfit that not only ensures you look professional but also makes you feel confident and ready to tackle what lies ahead.

From experience, we can vouch for something smart and structured in a neutral tone – you can always add a pop of colour and on-trend elements through accessories. However, we say steer clear of accessories that are too loud, as you want your potential new boss to be listening to your words, not admiring a rack of jangling bangles.

This office-approved dress by Massimo Dutti is professional, modest and on-trend in this season’s print du jour, gingham.

The IT Girls Guide To Surviving Fashion Week In Style

How to prep and what to pack for a whirlwind month in the fashion capitals.

Navigate Fashion Week like a blogger with our guide

Navigate Fashion Week like a blogger with our go-to guide

As any style-loving, IT girl will tell you, the real trick to surviving the chaos of Fashion Week all lies in expert preparation. Like an athlete training for a competition or Victoria’s Secret supermodel preparing for the big annual show, one must be thoroughly prepped to withstand the busy fashion month across the capitals.

Whether you are heading to NYC, London, Paris or Milan, the most famous month on the calendar is jam-packed with shows, appointments, backstage interviews, glitzy soirées – and the after-parties, of course!

The Packing: Quick Tips To Prepping Like A Pro

Once you have your schedule, try on outfits in advance (including the correct undergarments and accessories to go with each look) and take photos. This tactic will ensure you don’t over pack and will make getting dressed a whole lot quicker when you need to rush out the door for the first show of the day.

Make sure you get everything washed and dry-cleaned well in advance so that it arrives back in plenty of time for the trip.

Pack extra flat shoes to pop in your tote, especially if you plan on wearing heels to a show. Chances are the show will run late, and you will need to get to the next slot, which is no easy feat in stilettos.

Make a suitcase checklist on your phone, which you can update as you go along. Jot down everything you will need, from your toothbrush to phone charger, no matter how small – these are often the things we forget.

A busy show-packed agenda makes eating regularly and healthily a whole lot harder, so stick to a decent meal plan ahead of Fashion Week and pack plenty of nutritious snacks, such as nut bars, quinoa chips and protein powders, in your suitcase. Once you have arrived in your location, you can stock up on fresh fruit and veggies to store in your hotel minibar fridge.

The Essentials: Front Row-Approved Staples To See You Through Fashion Week

Blazer by Alexa Chung at Boutique 1 available at Mall of the Emirates

While you might be viewing the Spring/Summer 2018 collections, February will be chilly in the fashion capitals, so wrap up in oversized coats, cosy knits and sharp jackets. We love this double-breasted blazer from Alexa Chung’s new label.

Cat-eye sunglasses by Zara available at Mall of the Emirates and City Centres

Cat-eye sunglasses, Zara, visit Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Bahrain, City Centre Muscat, City Centre Alexandria and City Centre Maadi

You will need a killer pair of dark shades to ward off the flashes of street style snappers, and perhaps the show lights a la Anna Wintour.

Earrings by Bershka available at Mall of the Emirates and City Centres

A statement pair of bold baubles will take your look from the front row to the dancefloor in a flash.

Bella Hadid is no stranger to stealing the scene with her fashion-savvy outfits. Along with sister Gigi, the supermodel has taken the modelling world by storm recent seasons. The half-Palestinian beauty has even set a new record by landing the most Vogue magazine covers in one month - an impressive 5 September issues.

While we were hard-pressed to pick just one look, this street style snap, showing the 20-year-old in a swinging sixties-inspired red jumpsuit shows exactly why she is one of the fashion industry’s most in-demand stars.

Kendall Jenner shows off her nautical style

In our eyes supermodel Kendall Jenner can’t step a foot out of style. As the face of Estée Lauder, Fendi and La Perla (to name just a few), the trend-making runway queen has certainly picked up a trick or two for her personal wardrobe.

One of the youngest members of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, the 21-year-old beauty recently displayed her fashion credentials while aboard a luxury boat in Cannes, France. The epitome of nautical chic, Kendall opted for high-waisted white trousers teamed with a Breton striped top, black sunnies, and cat-eye shades.

Most recently, the actress/supermodel can be seen in Sci-Fi blockbuster Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets - now showing at Vox Cinemas.
